Hong Zhu, PhD

Dr. Zhu an associate professor at the University Of Mississippi Medical Center School Of Medicine in the Department of Otolaryngology and Communicative Sciences. She began working at UMMC in 2002 after earning her PhD in Pharmacology.

Dr. Zhu’s research focuses on utilizing behavioral, electrophysiological and neurochemical approaches to study vestibular function in a rodent module. Her work has resulted in a large number of papers, presentations and both intramural and extramural sponsored program funding.

Dr. Zhu has served as a grant reviewer for a variety of programs and is an active member of several professional organizations including the Associate for Research in Otolaryngology, Society of Neuroscience and the Mississippi Academy of Science.
